Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

If you do nothing but read

Nothing that identifies you. We set no tracking cookies before you accept them. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address transiently in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse — this is a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the data is not used to profile you.

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store your email address, the language layer you subscribed from, and the date. That is all. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.

Subscription data is processed by [[n8n instance — self-hosted on Railway]] and stored in [[Google Sheets / other]]. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone.

If you use the quiz, flashcards or vocabulary tools

Your progress is stored only in your own browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.

Affiliate links and the networks we work with

Some pages contain affiliate links. When you click one, the destination site and its affiliate network may set cookies or use similar identifiers to record that you arrived from PathItalia, so that a commission can be attributed. We receive only aggregate reporting — we never receive your name, email or payment details.

What we never do

• We never collect your personal data in order to pass it to an insurance company, insurance intermediary or lender. In those areas we only link out; everything transactional happens on the other company's own site under their own licence.
• We never sell personal data.
• We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

How long we keep things

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, plus a short record of the unsubscribe itself so we do not email you again. Server logs: as retained by Cloudflare under their own policy.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Write to [[EMAIL]] and we will respond within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

When this policy changes materially we update the date at the top and, if you are a subscriber, tell you by email.
